What Phase are we on?
We are still in Phase 1, Structure and Technique
What are we working on?
In this part of the phase - we will look to focus in on stability through the rest of your body (we have just been working on shoulders). We are still going to put some work into your shoulder mobility and stability as well as on the whole chain of your handstand. We are also going to spend some time focusing on where to place your weight in the handstand.
What should I work on at home?
As we are still in phase 1, we will continue working on much the same thing. We are still looking to do some specific physical preparation -something I want to put more attention into this time around in Phase 1.
Handstand Work: Continue to focus on Chest to Wall Handstands (CtW HS) aiming to keep your shoulders in the strong position we were working on, and to engage your glutes keeping your hips open. Advnaced practitioners can start to do some Micro-Transfers with blocks behind their wrist.
Technique Work: All BodyLine drills will be helpful. Tight-Shoulder Crew should look to continue spending time on their shoulder flexibility. Hypermobile-Shoulder Crew should look to spend time in Chest to Wall Handstands - focusing on getting shoulders on-top of your hands.
Accessory Work:
As mentioned above - continue on with shoulder mobility or stability. Look to work on hand strength at the end of your practice sessions.
Yada Yada Yada
Keep up the good work everyone!
Dave
